Hi all!
Here are some photos I found in another side of Nwaniba road from my Wednesday's walk around. These ones are located adjacent to the previous fiber pieces I shared. The works depicts people in traditional outfits displaying their culture. These are the people of Akwa Ibom and they are found in the Southern part of Nigeria.
From the picture below, you can see those art works lining on the wall on each segment of that fence.
The first piece depicts a young lady on a traditional outfit. She dey do shakara.
The above is followed by a woman, probably a dancer wearing two heavy waist bands with a leaf on her hand. Her head has been chopped off.
The above is followed by a sexy looking lady dancing. Only her back side can be seen. I love this one so much.
Another one I found interesting is a this piece. A masquerade with 3 heads. He has bells surrounding his waist as he dances and hits a little iron.
More photos can be seen of a woman dancing.
And another, of a lady with no funny expression.
Then another lady dancing. I love that her local hairstyle. I wish I knew what they call it.
The next is a piece of an elderly man with a different outfit. They usually make up the King's clan who is called Obong.
Here is another one. The last of it shows a small boy wearing singlet and dancing.
That's all for now. Do have a wonderful day.
Thank you so much👍
