Hola queridos amigos de Blurt, hoy me gustaría compartir con ustedes una fotografía que tomé hace ya varios años en un Museo marino en la Isla de Margarita en mi país Venezuela.
Se trata de una "raya" como se le conoce en mi país. Es una especie marina de cuerpo con forma de rombo, que generalmente nadan pegados al fondo del mar o del estanque donde se encuentre.
Hello dear friends of Blurt, today I would like to share with you a photograph that I took several years ago in a Marine Museum on the Island of Margarita in my country Venezuela. It is a "stripe" as it is known in my country. It is a marine species with a rhombus-shaped body, which generally swim close to the bottom of the sea or the pond where it is found.
Este pez es famoso y muy temido por el veneno que deja su picadura. "La raya lanza su cola y clava las púas en el pie o en la pierna de la víctima, y libera el veneno. Es posible que en la herida queden fragmentos del revestimiento de la púa, lo cual incrementa el riesgo de infección."
This fish is famous and very feared for the poison that its bite leaves behind. "The stingray throws its tail and thrusts the barbs into the victim's foot or leg, releasing the venom. Fragments of the barb lining may remain in the wound, increasing the risk of infection."
