Creating delicious homemade potato chips easy process that anyone can enjoy
1. Selecting Potatoes
Choose firm, unblemished potatoes. Varieties like Russet or Yukon Gold work well for making chips.
2. Slicing the Potatoes
Use a sharp knife or a mandoline to slice the potatoes thinly and uniformly to ensure even cooking.
3. Preparing for Frying
Soak the sliced potatoes in cold water for around 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Pat them dry before frying.
Heat oil to around 350d degree F or 175°C and fry the potato slices in batches until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
