All photos taken by me with a Fujifilm Finepix A210 except where noted, with some Lightroom post processing.
This is a continuation of my Utah series of posts. This is from a trip I did back in 2010. Here are links to the other posts in the series:

Woke up at the camping spot and headed the 20 some miles up I-15 to the Kolob Canyons entrance of Zion NP. We had decide to visit a little less crowded part of the park for this hike. Taylor Creek trail leads you on a 5 mile round trip hike to a double arch feature.
The first thing on the hike was this monolithic feature. The preceding three pics are different stages of the traverse around it.
Me by the creek. Taken by my travel partner with a Nikon E4600
A couple shots of the sheer cliff faces. I struggled with my little point and shoot Finepix to try and capture the grandeur.
The trail as it winds around the creek bed.
Me, gawking, slacked jaw at the immensity of it all. :)Taken by my travel partner with a Nikon E4600
I love this little ecosystem that has carved out an existence on a ledge of this cliff. I wonder if it has remained untouched by humans?
Two more shots of the canyon walls as we approach the double arch.
The first couple glimpses of the lower part of the double arch.
Looking inside the lower arch.
A shot looking up at the upper arch.
A little pano I stitched together trying to show the two arches at once. Clearly my equipment was completely inadequate for the job at hand. :)
A couple Google Earth maps I created to show the relative path and location of the hike.
One last shot of me after the hike. We drove to the end of the Kolob Canyons Road for a short hike to this overlook of the Kolob Canyons area. Taken by my travel partner with a Nikon E4600
