From our perch on the cliffs above, we were able to survey the beach below. There were surfers busily preparing to ride the waves.

The only problem seemed to be a near total lack of waves to ride. As the surfers on shore continue to ready their boards a lone individual waits on the water for a wave.
One of the surfers stops to observe the scene in front of him. I can't imagine this is the vista he hoped to encounter... a nearly calm ocean with small breakers.
Undeterred, more surfers emerge to join those already there.

As we left the parking lot there were still more surfers arriving. Perhaps they know it is but a matter of time before the fun will begin. 😀
