The Northwest region of the U.S. where I live was recently hit with some monster storms. My little area on the east slopes of the Cascade Mountain Range in Central Oregon was no exception. Follow along as I share some photos from around my home.
When I opened the curtain to go out for wood to start the morning fire this was the scene that greeted me. The abundance of snow on the deck rail had given our lights a pretty cool effect. Taken with my Samsung S20 phone.

A closer look at the snowman with his "feet" buried in snow on the table. 😀
The storm also brought us some low temperatures. We have had overnight lows in the mid to high teens (Fahrenheit). I think that helped lead to these interesting snow formations on the fence rails.
They piled up and fell over but just didn't want to fall to the ground.
With the snow falling lightly I took a short walk out in the woods to gather this photo.
I had planned to go further but the 8 inches of virgin snow made walking quite a chore. I May need to get the snow shoes out to do some more extensive exploration.
The trip back was more of the same. Semi-blue skies with a light snow falling. Really quite beautiful!
Back at home with a thick layer of snow covering the roof.
And a last shot of the snowman with his "feet" still buried in the snow. 😁
