The Best Desert Safari done in Egypt

in blurtography •  4 years ago

Though Dubai and other Middle East regions are well known for Desert Safari but let me tell you I have done all of these and the best experience I had was one in Egypt. This was some years back. on one of our family holiday.

Egypt is a very enchanting place, specially if one is fond of history and knowing the ancient culture. The oldest civilization lies here, The Pyramids, the Great temples and so much here, but besides all of this, Egypt also offers nature like the Desert and the Mediterranean Sea. The news guys claim that Egypt is politically an unsafe place to travel and when we were to travel we heard of many such stories. We were also thinking if we are making a right decision but then we just thought of going ahead and to our pleasantness there was no problem at all. There were some demonstrations that were happening in some places but they were peaceful and nothing to worry of. News guys you bet.....they can just ruin the place through their hyped news.

Anyways coming back to the place. We spent almost 2 weeks, visiting the length and breadth of country. Desert Safari was also a part of our itinerary.
We were in this place called Hurghada, it,s a beautiful beach side place. The Desert Safari trip started at around 1 when we had the pick up from our hotel. It took us almost an hour to reach the desert land. Then we were given an option for spending time in the Dunes, where there were quad bikes and other desert vehicles. It was fun.
My boys did some activity. I am not a very adventurous person on these things so I spent my time taking pictures.

Post that we had a trip to one of the local village near by. They call the village as Bedouin. This one where we went on a Camel was cutting through the mountains and the land was rough, it would be difficult for a car to move in that area. Camel ride was the best way to go there, and then they arranged for a dinner with the local people who are known as Bedouins. It was a simple meat meal but delicious full of spices with some local bread, and after that there was a small display of items made by the locals. We bought a small size carpet with their traditional design. Wonderful experience. After all of this we again returned back to the main Desert camp where they had a Belly dance show and a show by a fire juggler with some fire stunts.

Let me share some pictures with you of this.

And then after returning back we settled down for the show. The place was full of tourist. The seating arrangement was done in a very traditional way.

The Belly dance was graceful

There was also this show of a Fire juggling, simply superb/I always wonder it must be so risky for them to do these things.

After all the shows were over then we had some free time to move around. In the place they had some pets also. For the first time I held a snake in my hand. Was so scared but then I thought let me try it out since everyone was doing it.

I still have these memories fresh on me just like it was yesterday. The best part of travelling and experiencing different parts of the world is that these memories just get glued to you for life time. Experiencing things in real is the best way of learning life.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
