I've been busy doing things to earn money. My internet connection where I'm currently living is not stable. Obviously, I can't rely on blogging for now but I'm still hoping. That's why while doing these different things I documented it or recorded it. We never know if I can earn in real life and virtual life at the same time. Still, thankful for blogging because I managed to invest in material things that will be helpful to me.

Now, what I'm going to share is a video I uploaded on youtube. I was desperate to upload it through 3speak but still, it couldn't be possible because of the internet connection. This time I don't have images to share but only a video. It's not that I forgot it, it's just that it's hard to take images while fishing at the same time. Also, I was talking in the Filipino dialect so I will just translate it to English through writing. I'm not good at speaking but in writing, it's different.

Early in the morning, we departed with the help of a boat. It should be early because we're waiting for the fish to go out and search for food. I learned it from that person in my hometown who did this kind of fishing as his source of income. He said as well to find a location where it's rocky and with many corals. Those things to keep in mind so that the bigger fish will be encouraged to join the smaller fish from the corals and rocky.

We used a white stone where it's easy to be spotted under the sea. With the help of that stone, we used nylon or plastic thread for fishing and tying on that stone. I only need 1 meter of nylon tied on that rock and tied two fishing hooks too. Of course, I should use a fishing hook to catch fish. In that fishing hook, I used a squid as bait because it's white, and it would be easily spotted by the fish. But you can use a small octopus if there's no squid since it will be hard to catch a squid and also it's a waste not to eat it.

To make sure not to lose those stones I used foam or any floating material that can be useful as a guide where the stones are placed. From the beginning where the stone was first placed under the sea, I placed a foam that served as a guide in the last stone being placed. I need to place a foam at the last stone so that I'd have an idea of where to search for those stones in case they will be missed. It's important to find all those stones because we never knew there was a catch and will be wasted because it's lost.

Early in the morning, we started placing the stones in that desired location in the sea. I placed the foam first as the guide, then after placed the first stone. I placed the stones in a straight line so it was easier to find them. I used 10 stones with 2 fishing hooks each of them. With the last stone I placed, I then immediately placed the foam or the guide that served as the last stone.

After placing the stones we waited for at least 30 minutes. I just decided to myself that it should be enough time that the fish noticed the bait. It's better to think of an alternative to what to do while waiting for that time to check the stone. It's a bit boring while waiting for that time but it's your choice what to do.

If you already saw in the video that I was under the sea. It's time that I checked the stones if there were a catch. I started from the foam obviously, so it would not be hard to find the others while swimming under in a straight line. You need to remember to bring a spear for fishing. It's just a helping tool if ever there will be a big fish. You need to spear the fish first before getting the stone because if it is alerted it might escape by cutting the nylon.

If you saw in the video in the last part, my companion handed me the stone with a fish without using a spear. It's because we forgot to bring a spear. That's why what he did was let the fish swim where it was going in order not to restrain the fish to avoid escaping.

It was a fun kind of fishing because you know swimming under the sea was fun. Seeing what was under and maybe just because I love the sea always. Anyway, we managed to catch at least 2kg of fish. I didn't sell it but we were so happy to have food where we didn't need to buy one to eat. It's better that way rather than spending money to buy food.
