The crime-drama series tells the story of sniper Mac Quarry, who returned to his hometown from a military assignment in Vietnam. At home, he is met very dryly, they do not see him as a war hero, on the contrary, on the Mac, they begin to demonize the image of an American soldier. Thus, not only local residents turn away from the man, but also his old friends, along with close people. He tries to start life from scratch, but constantly feels like an outcast. So finally disappointed, Mack decides to go to work in a network of corrupt officials and hired killers who run their business in Mississippi.
