How is it going fellow Blurters???
Today in DOPE #05 I want to show you guys a little hidden spot from the city I was born in, Maldonado in Uruguay. This is from a couple of years ago when I was back at home and I got a visit from Silvina, a friend from Argentina.
This spot is just next to a Golf Club that is by a big lagoon. Laguna del Sauce is the name of the lagoon, which is the biggest one in the area. It provides running water to the whole city and its surroundings. This place is so quiet and relaxing that feel like laying in the sun/shade to quietly contemplate the beauty around you. There are no noises, you can only hear sounds chirping and the fresh breeze hitting your face.
The cool thing is that this is really close to the city and the beach. So its a nice choice if you want to go for something different, since in summer everyone seems to always go to the beach. But, beaches can be crowded sometimes, and that means little to no quietness. On the other hand, this lagoon is not visited by many, making it an ideal destination fro those looking for a relaxing and kind of private day out.
This day me and my friend Matias took Silvina (my friend visiting from Argentina) on a day tour around the area, visiting lots of amazing spots that are usually out of the radar of tourists. Thats a good thing about visiting a place with a local, since local people know where the hidden gems are.
After 12 hours outside, visiting many lagoons, beaches, after having lunch and even getting to see the sunset from the beach, we got home. Damn that was a long day. Oh well.... enough rumbling around. As I always say: Thanks so much for reading and supporting! Hope you like the pictures!
