Such a cool place
Last night at Evermore Park, my wife and I went through the Haunt that they have set up. The story behind the haunt is that there is a traveling circus that came to Evermore after a portal was opened and brought an ancient darkness to the village.
The ring leader of the circus set up the haunt to help the villagers overcome their fears and help push back the evil that came through the portal.
Not all of the villagers believe that the ring leader is up to good and some feel that he is actually trying to bring more evil into the land because of the monsters that have been introduced to Evermore with the haunt.
It is up to you as an adventurer to help the different factions that inhabit Evermore and try and determine if the ring leader is actually up to no good.
At the beginning of the haunt, you spend some time in the local tavern where you can meet with some of the townsfolk and learn about the different factions.
This dude is a hunter and was telling us about some of the dangers within the haunt, like a werewolf that he has been tracking. He gave us a few different things to look for and then report back to the hunter's guild with what we find so that we could progress in that faction's storyline.
My wife and I weren't really prepared to "play the game" correctly last night but some of the people there were writing notes as he spoke so that they could do the quests. So many people in the park have been going for a while and have been trying to complete all of the stories and it is really cool to see how much fun people are having at this place.
The level of detail is pretty amazing and the actors really do a great job in immersing you into the stories.
As we were walking around this statue outside of the church, a vampire came out to scare us, but then my wife started talking to him and dancing around. Faith was wearing a fanny pack and the vampire pulled up part of his costume and showed us the fanny pack that he was wearing too. It was pretty hilarious that this dude dressed as a scary vampire broke character just to show off his fanny pack to us.
One of the rooms that we walked in had these two girls sitting down and crying, but once you get close to them, they stood up and started asking us stuff.
My wife was talking to them and I guess they are both ghosts and couldn't see each other and they were sad about it. Faith asked what we could do to help them and they told us that we needed to find Charlie and have Charlie play with them.
Well this was Charlie. His costume was so cool. He wanted us to stay there and play with him forever and got mad when we tried to leave the area.
There was so much to experience at the park last night, that my wife and I didn't really do anything other than just try and familiarize ourselves with where things are and try and figure our what is going on.
This park is one of those places where you have to go multiple times to be able to experience everything that is has to offer. The lore and stories that each person have to tell is beautifully crafted. I am hoping that we are able to go more often so that we can start to finish the quests that this place has to offer.
