It had been raining since morning, a steady downpour that painted the world in shades of gray. But just as the clock approached 9:00 a.m., the rain began to let up, leaving the air cool and crisp. My husband and I exchanged glances over the kitchen table, our thoughts in sync as we yearned for something warm and comforting to start our day.
"How about some hot dim sum?" I suggested, recalling the cozy feeling of steaming dumplings and fragrant tea. The idea seemed perfect for such a chilly morning. "Sounds great," he agreed with a smile. We both remembered that a new dim sum restaurant had recently opened near our house. Neither of us had tried it yet, and the thought of exploring a new place added a touch of excitement to our rainy morning.
By 9:00 a.m., we were driving through the light drizzle, the streets slick and glistening. The new restaurant, the second branch of a well-known spot in Kathu, beckoned us with its inviting facade. I had visited the original branch several months ago and had fond memories of its delicious offerings.
