New Blooms in my garden
These are Airplants, that I use in a living sculpture I call a flower tree.
Native to hot arid climates...
These hardy plants absorb moisture from the air, so watering them can kill them by making them get “water rot” a mold I discovered killing them, when I first got them.
They are green, but have flower stems of red and purple, which indeed brilliantly colored when in bloom. Some are purple with yellow petals. They amazingly small, but amazingly beautiful.
The Living Sculptures are assembled from Kiave Tree driftwood, pulled out of the ocean.
Kiave wood is one of the hardest woods known to man. It’s so hard wood termites can’t eat it!
We use it to smoke meat and give it a special flavor.
But if you build something out of it, it may last forever!
Life is not a destination, it’s a journey, enjoy the ride, and don’t forget to stop and enjoy the scenery!
