The updated crossover GMC Terrain was supposed to appear last year, but due to the pandemic, General Motors has postponed work on the restyling of Terrane indefinitely. We saw the result only now. The SUV has retouched the exterior, revised the interior trim and expanded the equipment. But the main thing is that the Terrain has finally acquired the AT4 off-road package, which up to this point has been received by all models in the GMC family - from pickups to large five-door Acadia and Yukon.
The restyled GMC Terrain in SLE, SLT and AT4 trim levels will hit the American market in the summer of 2021, and the top Denali version with rich chrome trim will be in the fall. All cars are equipped with a petrol turbocharger 1.5 with 173 hp. and 275 Nm, working with a nine-speed "automatic".
Optional head-up display, Amazon Alexa voice assistant, multimedia complex with an eight-inch screen and navigation, Bose audio system with seven speakers, as well as adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring are available for Terrane.
The 2022 model year cars have redesigned LED optics, a different radiator grille and front bumper, four new body colors and new alloy wheels in 18 and 19 inches. In addition to the middle version of the SLT (red car) and the rich Denali, customers will be offered the Elevation version with black body elements and 19-inch wheels.
We also note that after the modernization, all modifications are equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless protocols and the GMC Pro Safety safety complex, which includes automatic braking systems with the function of detecting pedestrians, keeping in the lane and automatically switching the high beam to the low beam.
