New cases of coronavirus infection were recorded at 3 Canadian Toyota factories, including from one of the suppliers and among workers of assembly plants. The auto manufacturer has decided to suspend production of the Toyota RAV4 and Lexus RX. The assembly of cars is expected to resume in May 2021.
Toyota has announced 8 confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection among plant employees. The company is confident that the infection was not transmitted from person to person directly at the plant, but for safety reasons the enterprises were still stopped.
