....A not so very brief interruption, from my 'Adieu to Blurt, and the five years spent on social media blockchain' posts....

...this is my feelings and sentiment right now, regarding my change of direction - I'm back into 'the open seas of opportunity and adventure' !...

This post IS, however, connected - and it's very relevant to leaving the blockchain social media (at least in it's current form).

...Maybe this will help other people - to be able to differentiate 'the wheat from the chaff', 'the authentic from the inauthentic'.

And hopefully, it will add to a pool of knowledge that can contribute in some small way, so as to optimize an environment where it will increase the chances of any future success for the Blurt blockchain....

"Well, that's a shit model you have there", He said, "...if you can't even manage to repay me such a small amount of money from it.."

Those words stung.
My initial reaction was a "fuck you" - the automatic self defensive reaction to something that stings.
Something that hurts.

Why did it hurt?
...Because it was fucking true, that's why.

It was like having a bucket of ice cold water being poured over my head - with my ego/pride feeling the brunt of it.

He was right.
I was wrong.

The rest was just my 'fweel fweels' - my ego having a tantrum.

'I can't be wrong.....oh, the trauma !

It's important to have humility.

Why?
Because otherwise you won't be able to even see the ego crushing, harsh reality - you know, the one where you were wrong.
And if you can't accept that reality - then it means that you'll never be able to move on, by USING that information as a helpful tool.

If you can make use of that 'ice cold bucket of ego crushing information' (oh, the pain) - ..it means you can then use it to positive ends.

It means that you have something real , to work with.

....And if you don't (or can't) process that 'true information' through alack of humility, you're in danger of finding yourself caught inside a cage of your own making, one made with bars of your own anger, defensiveness, and pain.
And these bars are invisible to those who've constructed this kind of cage for themselves.

"Well, that's a shit model you have there...",

...He said, "...If you can't even manage to repay me such a small amount of money from it.."

So what did I do after hearing these stinging - but very true, words?

First of all there was the initial ego driven, 'hissy fit,' response.

Then, after calming down and coming to terms with 'I...was...wrong...', came the understanding.
That that my response had NOTHING to do with the messenger - only the message.
.....knowing full well that the messenger was a good friend, and as such, only had my best interests at heart.

Now that I was able to understand it from this new perspective, it then allowed me to zoom out from my own 'butt hurt fweel fweels', and just look at the message.
MINUS my own 'howwible poor little hurt emotions', interfering with any clear thinking.

My 'business model', sucked !

He was right.

....Over a five year period my income from writing has reduced in value from us having a comfortable life, to one of material hardships.
Fortunately for both me and my girlfriend, these new circumstances were not too big of a deal, and we adjusted without any stress.

BUT...... just because you have the ability to 'soak up all the crap that life throws at you' and still be able to carry on with smile on your face, it doesn't change the truth in these words.

....."Well, that's a shit model you have there",

....And so....

I changed the fucking model!

...(or rather, am in the process of changing it).

'Pro-Business' is a genuine mindset, not a bureaucratic structure draped in the pro business flag...

One is about creating - about 'making good' out of seeing the truth (no matter how 'negative' it may first appear to be)'.

The other 'pro-business' - is about control.
It's about using the glib one liner as a tool of persuasion - as a manifestation of 'the will to power' - with ego being in the drivers seat and thus usurping power -from the authentic and real person that's inside all of us.

Some people call it 'the soul'.

The two mindsets - of real pro-business, versus the politicians false proclamations themselves as such - are not the same.

One leads to success and positive outcomes - the other one leads to decay and failure.

Those stinging words of truth from a friend really jolted me out of my own stupor.

When your ego is in the drivers seat and controlling things by using your own fragile emotions as the steering wheel, the pedals, AND the petrol (the 'gas in the tank') - then humility cannot be present.
Your own ego just luuuuurves to offer you an emotionally driven narrative while claiming, very persuasively, that these illusions on offer are real.

A sense of gratitude only comes AFTER humility.

...And humility only comes after ejecting the ego from the driving seat, and YOU taking back control.
The authentic you will now become 'the master of it's own destiny', once more...

So thank you, my friend.

It is with gratitude and thanks...that I accepted the 'swift kick in nuts' - it's what was needed.

His words did nothing except hurt my 'fweel fweels'.
Those words of truth have led me to ejecting my fragile ego from the drivers seat.

Words are just words - it's how you process them that matters.

I'm back in the drivers seat !

...Of me.

IN TERMS OF BLURT...

'Pro-Business' is REALLY a 'pro truth' mindset.

'Pro-Business' is accepting reality and working with it, rather than attempting to bend it to a delusion that your ego has very enthusiastically (and conveniently) presented for you.....

Pro-business is pro growth - and whether it be 'the material', 'the spiritual', 'the intellectual', or 'the philosophical' that you're focused on - it comes with some added bonuses ...
The bonuses being....no matter which one of these goals above that you may be focused on, and perusing - you'll tend to get all four of them, simultaneously !
(talk about increasing your own leverage, or what?!)

Or...
You can have politicking,bureaucracy, and the desire to control others with a punitively structured backdrop that's falsely labeled 'pro business' - One that's forever their hovering over you, menacingly.
And THIS, is ANTI pro-business.

So take your pick, and pick your mindsets - but you can't have both.
