A snippet of things to come, and my perspective...It's ALL about perspective...part 1

I won't be (overly) concentrating on 'personality disorders' on the new website, but they will be included in many topics I talk about.

My take on PD's will be a little different than 'conventional perspectives'.

Both academic and clinical studies over the last decades seem to be unanimous in one thing - ...*the extreme spectrum end of 'cluster B' personality disorders are very difficult - if not impossible - to treat.

*ASDP - antisocial personality disorder (once with separate diagnosis's - sociopathy and psychopathy.

I'll be looking at these extreme ends of the spectrum, 'personal disorders' - from a new angle.

I'm not sure sure yet, but they might come under the title of LAI - Laughing at Idiots.

This is for two reasons.

Firstly - to knock 'them' off this all powerful, all 'evil', all omniscient pedestal that recent media seems to have put them on....(films from 'silence of the lambs' to the multitude of you tubers today)

'They' really are nothing ...like...that...

….(ok, with some tiniest of minority, exceptions)

'They' are, however severely traumatized individuals (I won't all the 'why's' and 'how's' here).
The second reason for this angle is to help the victims of these toxic people.

'They' cannot be changed.

'They' are doomed to live inside their own state of psychosis all their lives, with no hope of ever coming out of it.

Framing the subject as 'Laughing at Idiots' may seem cruel to those who have it. But not to the victims of such people.
I'm on the side of those people, and not the unreachable psychotic NPD and ASPD'ers.

Laughing at idiots- IS empowering for the victims.

It knocks 'them' off the delusional pedestal where society has placed them.

I see it like this....
(feel free to offer alternative perspectives if you see this model as a flawed one..)

'The rabid rottweiler model'

image.png

Once a dog has rabies all it can do is bite, hurt and infect others.
There is no 'remedy'.

It's tough to accept, but reality doesn't really care about a persons sensibilities - anymore than reality cares about the rabid rottweiler biting down into you and driving you insane, before you die horribly.

There comes a point - a line - in the spectrum of 'personalty disorders', where tough love is required.
Not for the rabid animal, there is no hope - but for the rest of society.

And that 'tough love' means blowing the head off the unfortunate doggy.

...Being a lover of doggies myself, and having two of the little buggers - I would, unhappily, administer this kind of tough love to them myself if they DID become rabid.
'Tough love' for the doggie as well, in my opinion.

So now that's cleared up, philosophically speaking - back to my idea on addressing the extreme, untreatable, 'personalty disorders'.

I omit the 'cluster B histrionic and borderline personality disorders' in this model - they are both treatable and far too vague, so will focus more on ASPD and narcissism.
(the DSM is thinking of ditching 'borderline personality disorder' altogether as a diagnosis)

Extreme NPD and ASPD personality disorder are the epitome of 'mocking god'.

They're the very antitheses (or is that antichrist?) of the qualities that make up...
LOVE IS THE LAW...
