Because of dry weather our mushroom catch was rather small this autumn. Dry weather is not good for the mushrooms. Although it must be said that it is quite humid outside in the morning, this is still not enough. Forecasters promise rain in the next two days and I hope that the mushroom business will improve. But so far we have only managed to find a few poisonous mushrooms. Although, on the other hand, the advantage of poisonous mushrooms is that no one needs them, but for me they are quite suitable for photographs. In addition, unlike most edible mushrooms, poisonous mushrooms are always brightly colored.
But be that as it may, even if the mushroom hunt was not very successful, a walk through the autumn forest and the gentle, unobtrusive autumn sun will compensate for this failure.
I came across mostly inedible mushrooms. Probably because no one except me cared about them. this is really true, because unlike most mushroom pickers, I only need mushrooms for photography. And in this matter their edibility plays absolutely no role. In addition, we must admit that it is inedible mushrooms that are much brighter and more colorful.
These Mushrooms can eat?
No
You have several photos of amanita muscaria, which are delicious "magical" mushrooms. They contain ibotenic acid, which causes nausea and other unwanted effects. By heating and/or drying, ibotenic acid is fully converted to muscamol, a medicinal compound used for healing, sleep, mental health, etc. That means most people cook or dry these mushrooms before consuming. And you need to monitor how much you ingest.
So... the question "can eat?" is best answered with "it's complicated" instead of "no", in my opinion. : )
