It's a funny interview which I embarked on today being Friday. It was not in my mind to go but my wife pushed me to do it but I did not regret going. I'm a mathematics teacher and the present place I'm working is just like a place I have been for over 10 years now. With the ten years of stay, the salary is not appreciating which made me search for another option. So, I was called by a friend to attend an interview in his school as their mathematics teacher seemed not coming any longer. So, I got my CV prepared and left for the interview.
When I got there, I was so excited because I wasn't afraid of anything. Being a mathematics teacher for more than ten years is not a joking matter and so, I have been grounded in mathematics. So, I was expecting them to bring Questions for me to solve not knowing that they have something in mind to say. When the guy who called me came out from the director's office, he told me that the mathematics teacher has resurfaced and so they will not be needing any mathematics teacher any longer. I was surprised to have heard this fact, but still remained firm just because I was not having the mind to go for the interview before now.
The fun part of it
I later found this interview to be fun as I got the opportunity to get to the Berger Bridge. The bridge was made on a lagoon in Lagos State.
Before now, I have been wanting to go to the bridge to take some photos but did not have the opportunity not until today. Although I was on bike while taking the photos with my phone and the road is under construction.
I saw this big cement mixer which the workers were using to mix cement.
There were many workers right there working seriously as the contract has just limited time.
On getting to the junction called T-Junction, there is a sculpture of two fish. This was made to signify the fact that the town is a fish basket of Lagos State.
Now, I went home after the little journey. It was just a 15 mins journey to my house.
It was fun to be out for the interview today. I can call this "a plan comes true"
Thanks for stopping by...
