The Doors - Light My Fire.

To start this Playlist -with a few days late- it is best to do it with Jim Morrison's band.

Definitely disbanded in 1973, they are considered one of the most influential and controversial groups in the history of music, to which they have successfully combined blues, psychedelic and jazz elements.

The Song.

You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire
The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeah
The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeah
You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire

Light My Fire is a song originally registered on the Doors per il loro album with the same name in August 1966, and published as a single in 1967.

The song is born giving a non-finished composition by Robby Krieger who is a member of the decisive group of sviluppare. The song that was performed, last sette minute, was notably abbreviated for rendering più proposibili i passaggi radiophonici. Tuttavia the group has always been interested in preferring the original version present in the album.

Il singolo trascorse tre settimane in vetta alla classifica statunitense Billboard Hot 100. L'anno seguente il singolo was ripubblicato, ed arrivò alla position 87. The composition of the brano is accredited to the Doors, but the first part of the song was written by Robby Krieger, mentre la seconda da Jim Morrison.

A live version of the band was included in the 1983 album Alive, She Cried, the cousin of a series of the live band of the group, in which Light My Fire was included.
