Bob Marley became a symbol of music reflecting political, racial and social awareness in each of his musical successes that still endure after the artist's death in 1981.
Marley, best known and respected in reggae music, is also recognized for helping to spread both the music of Jamaica and the Rastafarian movement worldwide, he also contributed so that said movement was not persecuted and was recognized as a religion by society and the Jamaican government.
