The K-pop effect

I was first introduced to K-pop (i.e. Korean pop) in 2018 when I saw BTS on the Ellen DeGeneres show and haven't looked back since today. I fell so hard into this genre to the point of where it's made me question why others don't necessarily feel the same about it.

What's not to like about it? It's unlike any other genre of music in fact it's more than just a "type" of music but rather an experience. It's a complete package, it has dance/choreography, visual effects, fashion, storylines, the music of course and so much more. The music itself is so diverse, one song has a fusion of genre's within it for example, you could listen to a song that has hip hop, pop, RnB and maybe even EDM altogether. If that doesn't have you convinced as to why K-pop is taking over and dominating music charts all across the globe then perhaps their lyrical content will help you understand why it's becoming a popular choice amongst people from all walks of life.

I've watched countless documentaries on how K-pop has saved or changed so many peoples lives, myself being one of them. Some of their music portray positive messages and the artists themselves respond or react so positively and respectively towards their fans that it's no wonder their fandoms will do anything to help the artists reach the top of the charts.
The fashion has influenced so many to the point of where fans want to look and dress just like the artists themselves. Posters plastered on bedroom walls, scatter cushions and stationery with K-pop idols faces on it, purchasing of make up endorsed by K-pop musicians seems obsessive but I prefer to call it the K-pop effect. I mean, isn't this what being a fan is all about?
