Hmm.... I had to think way way back.
It was 1980 something ...
We used to always buy our records in an old second hand record shop downtown.
It was a great risk to buy a second hand Vinyl record. You would inspect the album for any scratches but the proprietor was never happy to see customers removing the seemingly fragile disc from its sleeve. You had to take a very quick look.
No major gouges ? 50 cents ?
Sold !
But you would still hold your breath hoping to not hear a skip or any unusual crackles while you listened that first time....
Now that I think of it my very 1st purchase in a Record Shop was actually a Single. A 45 by Eric Clapton..
There were 2 songs on a 45 ...
On the A side was “Lay Down Sally
On the B side was “Next time you see her”

Both great tunes ... This is when I fell in Love with the guitar. I think my next purchase was a guitar. I had to save for months to get my 1st guitar.
I was surprised to see this vinyl record available on Amazon.... https://amzn.to/3lavrGy

Good music to remember the 80s, maybe in the trunk of memories you have some vinyl records.
Yes... my brother stored them all away in his collection. They are in mint condition.
Great friend
