The Sons of Thunder
Jesus calls upon twelve men to become His apostles in Mark 3. Amid the twelve are “James son of Zebedee and his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means “sons of thunder”)” (Mark 3:17). This is the sole location in the Bible that references the name of Zebedee's sons as the "Sons of Thunder."
The Feast of Saint James the Apostle is celebrated yearly on July 25. Saint James alongside his brother, John were sons of Zebedee and part of the first four Apostles chosen by Jesus. James the Great or James the Greater (due to his greater size or the age difference between him and James The Lesser). The day is Galicia day as Saint James is the patron saint of Galicia and Spain. It is believed his remains are in the Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. The day is set aside to celebrate one of the most important saints in Spain.

I'm suprised to see this hear. I attended St. James Junior seminary Yandev Gboko in Nigeria and we celebrated our feast day too. It was such an awesome reunion. The feast day for sure went well
Awesome… I like the Zebedee brothers. They had lots of passion and zeal for the teaching of the Lord.
