Blurtmusic Holiday Playlist: National Underground Day

Today is National Underground Day ...

I spent a good part of my life living underground. Growing up in Northern Ontario my bedroom was in the basement of my parent’s bungalow. I had the thick shag rug, the fake wood panelling, the very low suspended ceiling and all kinds of weird bulkheads to hide all the pipes and ductwork..... all built by my dad.

I always wondered if we messed up things too badly on the surface of our planet, if it got too hot or too cold we would all have to move underground. ....

Luckily for us we managed to fix that hole in the ozone layer and now everything is good.

Always something to worry about.

It seems like years now we haven’t had any big problems on our planet.

Knock on wood.

National Underground America Day on May 14 revolves around cherishing the concept of societies living underground and thriving. Yes, we don’t only have to live on top of land — there is a lot more going on underground than you can imagine. Here is all you need to know about celebrating National Underground America Day.
