Happy Birthday to Les Paul…
My dad had an early Gibson Les Paul guitar, but sold it to buy an acoustic guitar back in the 60’s
I bet he wishes he held on to that Les Paul. …
Maybe not. We still gather around the campfire and play our acoustic guitars.

There’s no place like home.
Lester William Polsfuss, known professionally as Les Paul, was an American guitarist born on June 9, 1915, who played jazz, country, and blues. Paul was also a songwriter, luthier, and inventor and was best known for being the inspiration for the Gibson Les Paul guitar. His career dates back to 1928 and lasted eight decades, so join us to celebrate his special day today.
Happy Birthday Les ;)
I was just having a conversation with my buddy a few weeks ago about Les Paul's Pulverizer, what and amazing inventor. Apparently it controlled a multi-track tape machine that played / recorded on a loop.
Yes…it is demonstrated in the 2nd video above….
I saw that. He is really quite skilled at it. He was way ahead of his time with his effects.
I had no idea those looping devices existed that far back. I have always wanted one.
It’s incredible what people can do with a loop pedal …
Wow, they are amazing. Can't hardly wait to show my buddy Shawn. He has a looper but no foot control he does it with his computer so it is a bit more clunky, but fun as hell. We were playing around with it a couple weeks ago, trying to harmonize with ourselves. After enough beers it really starts to sound good, haha 😂
