Happy Birthday to Bob Dylan.

Incredible, Musician, songwriter and poet.

So much awesome music.

I think the very 1st song I remember is “Like Rolling Stone”. Often ranked his #1.

I will be listening to a lot of his music today …

Robert Allen Zimmerman, better known as Bob Dylan, originally from Duluth, Minnesota, was born on May 24, 1941, and was raised in Hibbing, Minnesota. As a songwriter, he established various schools of pop composition — ranging from confessional singer-songwriters to rambling, hallucinogenic, stream-of-consciousness tales. As a singer, he deconstructed the idea that a performer must have a traditionally excellent voice to perform, altering the singer’s function in music. As a musician, he pioneered various mainstream music styles, notably electrified folk-rock and country-rock. And it is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of his accomplishments. Dylan’s power was palpable during his peak popularity in the 1960s. Let us learn and rejoice on his special day.

Why did he get booed ?

He was playing electric guitar in 1965 at the Newport Folk festival. Music was never the same after that. He was paving the way for a whole new genre of music and they couldn't appreciate it at the time.
