@offgridlife reminded me of this special day to celebrate walnuts.
The walnut trees here in Korea are over a hundred years old. One woman, Shim Bok-sun is famous for making the walnut cookie famous in Korea.
She has been making these cookies since 1934. For the past 20 years I have stopped by her store by the train station when I visited Choenan.
She was an awesome woman with great faith. Check out her story here on the Korea Post.
Enjoy some walnuts or just be a nut:
Hahaha I think I'd rather enjoy some walnut than be a nut 😅 so funny!
Happy national walnut day, maybe you should stop by the woman store today for some walnut 😃
The store is about an hour away. The woman passed away a few years ago, but her family still runs the stores. It has gotten so big I can now buy imitations anywhere in Korea, but the original are only in that city about an hour away.
I kind of like being a nut for a time.
Oh I see, it's cool that you can get it anywhere now.
Hahaha no, you're not a nut 😂 you should like to being such huh?

I haven't tasted a walnut yet, but I think it doesn't mean I'm a nut already lol.
