Some time ago, when I was doing daily stock taking, a colleague turned on music from a YouTube video in the form of a dangdut song, which was easy to listen to in tone. Apart from the pleasant tone, I was attracted to a word in the song's lyrics that mentions a term I don't understand.
The word is "Kalimera", which is the same word in the title of the song as "Kalimera Athena". The first time I heard it, I thought it was "red times" haha. Out of curiosity, I was browsing the meaning of the word kalimera.
It turns out that the term kalimera is a Greek language, which means it can be "good morning" or "good afternoon". So a kind of greeting word for days. Ohhh, there is an athena behind the word kalimera. Because as far as I know Athens is a city in Greece, I really think it has something to do with place names or Greek.
Listen to this great song first!
Lyrics of the song (Cita Citata) - Kalimera Athena
Matahari mata sapi Yang tergantung di langit Yunani
Menyinari menyaksikan bersatunya dua hati
Kemarin kita masih berpeluk cium di alun alun Paris
Pagi ini kita berdua telah tiba di pelabuhan Athena
Kita berlayar menuju pulau Poros
Hijrah hingga Eghina
Burung laut yang indah cantik molek
Menggiring kita ke suasana romantis
Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Ya Athena
Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Ya Athena
Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Ya Athena
Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Ya Athena
Matahari mata sapi Yang tergantung di langit Yunani
Menyinari menyaksikan bersatunya dua hati
Kemarin kita masih berpeluk cium di alun alun Paris
Pagi ini kita berdua telah tiba di pelabuhan Athena
Kita berlayar menuju pulau Poros
Hijrah hingga Eghina
Burung laut yang indah cantik molek
Menggiring kita ke suasana romantis
Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Ya Athena
Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Ya Athena
Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Ya Athena
Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Kalimera Ya Athena
