I have always been fond of art and music and love the perfection in the lyrics and color.
I am present to art and music in a way that I haven’t quite been before. Feeling more connected to the artist and musician than their art or music.
Right this very moment I have Sting playing in the background. There is a sweet mystery in his voice that comes right from his soul penetrating mine and tonight it’s as though the artist in him sees the artist in me or the other way around. Doesn’t really matter, the point is we all have our music. It’s lyrical or loud, bashful or proud. It’s beautiful and fluid like a solid gold elixir that melds with air and carries truth on the notes whether high or low to meet those of our human experience. Gods medicine for anything and everything. A song to soothe and acknowledge a heartbreak or a jam to celebrate good times. Art to invoke a sensation or enliven our senses in ways only unique to the satisfaction of our soul. Each artist provides a different stroke for a different folk and the music would not be without the artist and the artist would not be without the music. They are one and the same.
Take a moment to take it all in.
And then create and play yours…
