Kudai es una banda de pop rock chilena, la cual escuchaba mucho en mi adolescencia. La primera canción que conocí de ellos fue "tal vez".Fue una epoca en la cual estaba muy de moda el punk, rock y pop. Creo que por un tiempo me atrajo la idea de formar parte de ese circulo. Podías ver a los adolescentes con pelo largo y peinados extravagantes, mucha ropa y accesorios de color negro. Jovenes expresando rebeldía y sus emociones a traves de diferentes formas identificandose con sus canciones.
Inicialmente fue formada en el año 1999, bajo el nombre de Ciao, como una banda infantil de niños que cantaban canciones tributos a éxitos musicales italianos de los años 1980. En 2004 llegan renovados, luego de un trabajo sistemático y responsable, fruto de la decisión de seguir adelante en la música, con temas inéditos. En el año 2009 deciden tener un receso para enfocarse en cosas y proyectos personales. Aunque en el año 2016 tuvieron un fugaz regreso a los escenarios no fue sino hasta hace la segunda mitad del 2020 que lanzaron una nueva version de su mas grande exito "sin despertar" y anunciaron que para este 2021 hay un nuevo proyecto en marcha al cual muy pronto tendremos acceso.
Kudai is a Chilean pop rock band, which I listened to a lot in my teenage years. The first song I heard from them was "maybe". It was a time when punk, rock and pop were very fashionable. I think that for a while I was attracted by the idea of being part of that circle. You could see the teenagers with long hair and fancy hairstyles, lots of black clothes and accessories. Young people expressing rebellion and their emotions in different ways.
This band was initially formed in 1999, under the name of Ciao, as a children's band singing tribute songs to Italian musical hits from the 1980s. In 2004 they arrived renewed, after a systematic and responsible work, as a result of the decision to move forward in music, with unreleased songs. In 2009 they decide to have a break to focus on personal things and projects. Although in the year 2016 they had a fleeting return to the stages, it was not until the second half of 2020 that they launched a new version of their greatest success "without awakening" and announced that for this 2021 there is a new project underway to which we will soon have access.
