The soundtrack to James Gunn's 2014 film "Guardians of the Galaxy" is one of the reasons for its popularity. More specifically, the song that serves as background music for a very entertaining little dance performed by Chris Pratt, one of my favorite actors, and the main song, which also serves as music for the introduction and credits.

This song, "Come and get your love", was written by Pat and Lolly Vegas and recorded by their group, the American band Redbone, in 1973. It was included on the album "Wovoka". The following year saw the release of a single that was so popular that it topped the charts in countries other than North America and sold over 500,000 copies in the United States. For several years, the group featured her on their greatest hits albums after she joined them. The fact that this band is certified by the Smithsonian Institute in New York itself is curious. the first Native American rock/cajun band in history to have a number one single both in the US and abroad.

Brothers Patrick and Cándido (aka Lolly) Vásquez-Vegas from California, a duo that spent years touring Los Angeles clubs with their unusual songwriting and vocals, served as the embryo of the group. In addition, they contributed to the writing of songs by successful artists such as Tina Turner, Sonnny and Cher and James Brown, as well as their recording.
