In the United Kingdom: The Country (as a whole) is split into several different regions: England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. Each region have their own specific ways of celebrating New Year's Eve. I live in England myself, but in Scotland "Hogmanay" is considered to be an even more important event than Christmas. So Today is a massive "Hogmanay" 🍾 celebration for the Scots.
Traditionally, Scotland is well known for "kilt wearing" Scots playing the Bagpipes. A musical instrument that you blow into, and extremely hard to learn. The sound is very unique, and immediately recognized when you hear it played. Have a listen below if you have never heard Bagpipes before...
