Part ONE
I promise that this is the beginning of something great. This is a series that I have always wanted to do, thank goodness that I have been able to overcome procrastination and laziness to finally get to it.
Continuing the genre recommendation, we are moving to one of my best movie genres, comedy. It could be argued that the comedy genre is the most popular because many comedy movies can be enjoyed by the entire family, I honestly think this genre is the most accommodating and it is also highly entertaining. You could be having a bad day and just a single scene from any of these movies that would be listed here would lighten your mood. That’s the power that comedy movies possess.

Following tradition, I’m going to be breaking the comedy genre into some sub-genres to aid me in the recommendation process.
The aforementioned sub-genres:
Action Comedy
This sub-genre adds a humorous undertone to most of the action sequences; this has some of the most popular movies and can usually be available to the entire family. My top picks are:
- All Jackie Chan movies (lol), that man is undoubtedly the father and king of this sub-genre, Charlie’s Angels, 21 Jump Street, etc.
Dark Comedy
These movies usually poke fun at things people really shouldn’t be joking about, they make jokes that you might be ashamed that you laughed at, and they are mostly enjoyable because they are still comedy. My top picks for this sub-genre are:
- The Art of Self Defense
- Death at a Funeral
- Very Bad Things
- Dictator
- Maniac, etc.
