Although our understanding of entertainment is different, sometimes entertainment can be the time spent watching a fun film for a few hours by leaning your back on the sofa and stretching your feet on the coffee table.
At times of work fatigue, sometimes when I can't even find the strength to click the mouse, when I can't sleep but don't want to do anything; there is nothing like watching a film!
Sometimes I watch the first film I come across, sometimes even more than the viewing time of the film; it is spent choosing the film to watch.
2021 #Spanish film Amor De madre seemed to be an ideal choice in terms of its subject, processing and fun.
The groom, who is abandoned at the moment when the bride will say "yes" during the wedding, asks for the fee back because he paid for the honeymoon holiday in advance. There is no point in going on a honeymoon holiday anymore because he has been abandoned by the bride. Unable to get his money back, he decides to go on the honeymoon with his mum. Of course, this is not his first decision, but you can guess what oppressive mothers do to make their children accept something.
I hope no one has to go on their honeymoon with their mother, but when we think about it as a film subject, doesn't it sound fun to you? We didn't hear the bride's "yes", but we can hear many "yeses" about the fun of a honeymoon with the mother.
Since all the preparations for the honeymoon are made for the bride and groom, the awkwardness of going with the mother and son is hidden because of the trouble it would cause. A lie begets a lie, and both fun and comedy begin here.
I deliberately choose to stay away from complex, sci-fi, thriller films when all I need is to laugh and have a good time with fun visuals and music. I like to choose films from different countries and cultures instead of Hollywood films in order to be simple but meaningful, easy but funny.
In this respect, Amor De madre was a fun, funny Spanish film with low expectations. It had many beautiful scenes in terms of the confrontations between mother and son, their troubles, the transformation of the honeymoon into a family drama and the discovery of many aspects of themselves that they could not discover.
The transition from the fake honeymoon to the real honeymoon was the most surprising and applauded scene of the film. Of course, there will not be a real honeymoon with mother and son! You can see what I mean when you watch the film.
Personally, it was a fun Sunday night film for me. In fact, I made the transition from Sunday to Monday with the film Amor De madre. I remember that I have watched a few Spanish films similar to Amor De madre in terms of entertainment, although not in terms of subject matter. In my subconscious, I have the idea that Spaniards are fun people and they are fond of entertainment. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case, because I think all countries bordering the Mediterranean are like this!
