Hello, blurtians.
In Ondo state Nigeria where I base, there might not be an electricity supply for three days straight, especially If it rains then just forget about having light for 5 days or a week.
When this happens, this is what my compound in college looks like because Students will always find means of charging their mobile phones and devices.
This weekend, there was no light, and it happens a person owns a generation in our apartment. So luckily he owns his gen and people start trooping in to charge their mobile phones and devices.
Well, the man that owns the generator is very wise and nice to the extent he did a socket outside which is on the veranda of the apartment so that anyone can bring their socket and charge.
Unfortunately, this weekend a person's socket burned. It happens because two big sockets that were more powerful than the small socket were connected to the small one and this get it to explode and get burned. This is one of the reasons most people don't bring out their sockets, because of the fear that they might get burned.
Even if I do bring my socket out for charging, I am always keeping a watch over it and my devices for safety so that anyone won't go near it and connect sockets that are stronger than it.
Well, that's college life and all these will be bygone someday that it will be a memory for me remembering queuing outside of my compound, charging devices with my fellow students.
