So what does a leach and @welshstacker have in common?? They are both suckers.....
Yep, I've fallen for even more over priced silver coins from the ROYAL MINT. The Royal Mint has released a new set of coloured silver coins for 2020,and since this is the year my little 1/4pint was born, I thought it would be a great set to give to her when she grows older.

The Winnie the Pooh and Friends Collection celebrates the characters behind the classic storybooks on a brand-new UK 50p coin series. There will be nine coins in total and the 2020 series features Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin and Piglet; six more coins will follow over the next two years.

The third coin in the 2020 release is this cute little "PIGLET" coin. Truth be told, I'm not actually a Winnie the Pooh fan, but I do like the simplicity of this coin compared to the other two this year. Comparing them to some of the other releases by the RM, they look much nicer and cleaner than say the Paddington bear, Wallace and Grommet and Gruffalo sets that have already been released.

Each coin costs..... Ummmm..... Let's say "enough"!!! I very much doubt ill ever make a profit on selling these, but that's not why I bought them. My plan is to make a solid wood display case and mount them for display. This will hopefully make them easier to show and once I hand them over to my daughter, she will be more inclined to keep them (once I've gone) and not sell them.

The silver content of these coins is laughable, but they are in proof quality and with just 18010 coins released, there is a slim chance the market might pick up and increase their value. But like I said, these are gifts and not to be sold, unless a fantastic low serial number arrives and I'll instantly flip that to buy a replacement.
Once these coins arrive in the post, I'll do an unboxing and show the set together so you can all get a better understanding and visual of them all.
So what's your thoughts on this coin? Money we'll spent or complete flop??

These are pretty cool looking coins
Thank you @skylinebuds, I'm hoping my kids like them too. I'm undecided if I should collect the 3 they release next year yet, but I know I'm a sucker for a silver coin so probably will!
