Welcome back,
I am really sad today; my heart is filled with sadness as I read a news that was about a girl who committed suicide. She was in Kota maybe preparing for mains or NEET and as she realized that it was not made for her, she decided to give up and commit suicide.
Here is a question that I want to ask every parent including myself. Do we have any problem if our child doesn't want to be a doctor or Engineer? If yes, why. Is it because of the society where a bar has been set for the successful people opting for these professions.
Let me say this and believe me this is damn true, 90% of us are all running and doing our best to be a sheep. We don't ask what our kids want to do in life, and we just decide to impose things on them that later result into these suicidal events.
We as a parent have failed miserably, do you know why? It is because our child finds it easy to commit suicide rather than coming up and telling us on our face that, Mom and Dad, I cannot do this anymore, I simply want to be a something else, will you support me.
Sometimes, it is because of the damn society that our kids take this step. The parents are understanding but kids think about the society so much and they take this step. Again, even in this case I will have to say this that we as a parent have failed badly.
It was our duty to teach them not to care about the society, oh! maybe I should say that first we need to teach ourselves that we don't have to care about the society in these things.
My request to all the parents reading this blog, life is precious, and you all know this fact. Just be the best teacher for your kids, tell them that it is ok if they fail, tell them that we will face failure together and tell them that they can speak up about what they want to do in life.
Take the first step, you are parents so just take the first step so that the kids can feel comfortable and not end up committing suicide. If I have hurt anyone via this blog, then please forgive me, I did not intend to do so.
Thank You
