After much deliberation, today I decided to purchase an iPhone 13 mini. Having researched the various options and my desire to have a phone that has a leading camera and would last me for many years into the future it felt like the best option for me.
I hadn't intended to buy the phone today but the dentists pissed me off and as I passed a reliable shop, I saw the exact model and colour that I wanted to I popped in to have a closer look.
Although other phones were cheaper and had specs that could rival the iPhone 13 mini, the deciding factor was the size. I don't want to carry a huge phone around with me and one of the phones that I checked out today didn't even fit in my pocket, sticking out by about an inch.
It's rumoured that this is the last iteration of iPhone which will come in the mini version - apparently, the smaller phones don't sell well which is perhaps because many people willing to spend this kind of money on a phone want it to be much more than just a phone - a media player and games console being key reasons why people want a bigger device.
For me though, I wanted a decent camera and a phone that when carried in my pocket, won't cause me to limp.
I should feel more excited than I do. I should've set the device up already and migrated all of my apps and data across but I'm rather dreading this step. I'm not even sure I've got iTunes installed any more and the old MacBook that it is installed on is exactly that... old. Something I'll do tomorrow. Maybe. After I've put that shelving unit together which arrived today.
