Hey it's me again, and I am sure you must have known me regarding matters with elevators. I won't say I am a prof in elevator matters but still learning.
So today I decided to visit one of the site in which the elevator is yet to be fully powered. This contract belongs to an elevator company partnered with us. Though I didn't start the installation and powering with colleagues at work. moreover the job is nearly completed just needed some little finishing.
That is me over there, so I would share some pictures of the elevator but too bad I am quite short of pictures as I didn't plan to make this post. I just thought I should share to the blurt community.
Here is the control panel of the elevator. But the reason why I took the picture low was at that point the red, blue, yellow, and neutral wires were just being connected to that circuit breaker which leads to the motor of the elevator. So the picture below is where it is being connected to the circuit breaker that leads to the power source.
After the connections was done, the circuit breaker was turned on. So from the picture below you would see that there are lights on the drive in the control panel.
From here, alot of busy work happened that I couldn't snap picture with my phone.
But there are some other stuffs I would love to show to you guys which I snapped earlier.
THE PIT STOP BUTTON
This stop button is located in the pit which when pressed who stop the lift from moving as the name implied. It is there any time an engineer wants to work in the pit of the lift, so he just needs to use the emergency stop button to hold the elevator
THE OUTSIDE CALL BUTTON
Everybody who has used an elevator would know what this is used for, it is used to call the lift to any particular floor you are in
A LIMIT SWITCH
This limit switch serves like a sensor of the lift to make the lift know when it is at floor level or not.
THE EMERGENCY FIRE MAN SWITCH
From the name, you would know what it is used for. The switch is used when there is a fire emergency. When it is activated, the lift automatically move to a floor level and leave the door open to prevent anyone from being locked up in the lift
THE OIL POT
The elevator travels on the guide rails, so the oil pot helps to keep the rails lubricated.
THE TRAVELING CABLE
this is where all the wires connected to each floor passes through to the lift then to the control panel.
THE CAR BUFFER
This is just to stop the car if it travels beyond the ground floor or the end floor limit. You can Google them to have a more better understanding.
I think that's all for now. I hope you get to know or learn some new things.
