Have a nice day! In Kuban, many women were engaged in herbalism and today you can still find the products of our craftswomen at fairs.
The fairs often hold interesting master classes, talk about the aromas of field and medicinal herbs, and show various weaving techniques...
It turns out that not all herbs behave in the same way when weaving. Some lose their fragrance after just a few days, while others can give off odorous odors for a month or two.
To make a grass panel pleasing to the eye for a long time, you need to be able to process it with special tools. Our craftswomen have adapted themselves to assemble hand looms for weaving.
Most often, these are small wooden frames of a certain size on which jute ropes are wound.
Kuban craftswomen are happy to use natural materials: various medicinal herbs, tree bark, all kinds of leaves, stems, twigs, and sometimes dried flower buds. Everything goes to work :-)
Such panels can then be decorated with various figures made of straw or talash, jute or ordinary stalks of dried grass.
I have a Sony DX-60 camera, and all photos are taken in auto mode.
I appreciate Your feedback and comments.
I wish you luck and have a nice day!
Best wishes!
