📷 Unusual Salzburg

in blurtlife •  3 years ago

Greeting to all Blurtorians! Have a nice day! Today we will take a walk with you through the picturesque Salzburg, the name of this city is translated from German as "Salt Fortress".

The city of Salzburg is located at the very foot of the divinely beautiful Alpine Mountains, and is considered the northern capital of Austria.

I hope that not only I but also some of you do not insert photos correctly, so I decided to show you this video about such an amazing city right away : -)

I advise you to watch a small video:

The city is located on the banks of a very beautiful river Salzach. Here you can take a boat ride, see many sights and, of course, the Hohensalzburg fortress itself - "high-rise Salzburg". This defensive structure, built at an altitude of 120 meters above the city, withstood many sieges during the Hungarian War, and today many tourists come to Hohensalzburg to get acquainted with the historical past, visit real princely mansions, see medieval weapons stored in the fortress museum ...

And in this house on Makartplatz, Mozart himself lived from 1773 to 1780. Historians claim that it was here that his famous bassoon concertos were born, and many arias that have been listened to for several centuries.

And this is the famous cathedral, which today has been recognized as the most perfect structure of the Renaissance. The Salzburg Cathedral is located in the heart of the city, at the intersection of Residenzplatz and Domplatz squares.
Mozart himself was baptized in this cathedral. Be sure to look here, the sensations are not transferable, there are many ancient icons, beautiful mosaics and grandiose vaults, and most importantly you will hear organ music with amazing memorable acoustics.

I advise you to visit the beautiful Mirabel Park, which is just not in it. And the picturesque terraces, and flower beds, and what marble statues - all make it very bright and memorable. Don't forget to visit the Gnome Garden as well. As soon as you see a bridge decorated with two sculptures of dwarves, cross it and immediately find yourself in the kingdom of the Zwerggarten. All the figures represent human vices and virtues.

We were here in July, at this time amazing roses were blooming everywhere, you will feel their fragrance even at the entrance to the park. You can take a funicular ride, which will take you directly to the fortress on the top of the mountain.

There are many beautiful fountains in the park, but I liked this one with "singing birds", from whose beaks cold water flows.

I was also surprised by this unusual monument, which stands in the historical center of the city: on a huge, "golden" ball there is a human figure barely visible from below.

It turned out that this is a monument to the confectioner Paul Furst, who invented "Mozartkugel", the world-famous chocolate candies in the form of balls. Once in Salzburg, be sure to try them, it's very tasty. The composition of the sweets includes marzipan, dark chocolate and nuts. In Vienna, of course, they are also sold, but here they are especially delicious, and I advise you to buy in a blue wrapper.

I have a Sony DX-60 camera, and all photos are taken in auto mode.

Thank you for Your attention and visit.
I appreciate Your feedback and comments.
I wish you luck and have a nice day!

Best wishes!
