This most beautiful waterfall in Switzerland is simply impossible to forget. It was described by both Goethe and Byron in their works, today it is considered one of the most famous natural attractions in Switzerland. It is located near the town of Lauterbrunnen, which is located in the canton of Bern. In height, Staubbach reaches almost 300 meters. True, I was not lucky with the weather, it was raining heavily, but where to go :)

The waterfall got its name from the German word "staub", which means "dust". After all, water falling from a rocky cliff is twisted by the wind into fabulous funnels, which are effectively sprayed in all directions. It looks just magical-a floating weightless water cloud. The sight is impressive, if not for the cold, wind and water, I would watch for hours. And from a distance, it all looks like a thick fog.

The area around is very picturesque, fresh clean mountain air, but also crowds of tourists, everyone comes here to see this miracle of nature.

And if you want to go up, get ready, the climb is quite steep. Along the way, there are many narrow and rocky paths, and you will also meet a closed tunnel, which was slippery to walk through, as water constantly dripped from above, but shoes, of course, should be very comfortable.

From the height of the waterfall, the surrounding nature seems simply magical. We also saw several skydivers here, it is extremely difficult to jump from such a height, but many still took the risk. However, the transitions to the waterfall leave much to be desired. If I was alone, I would never have dared to go up these steps ...

Think about a waterproof cape, too, or you'll come back as if after a shower. At the top, everything is very wet, you will not notice how wet you will get. The waterfall roars so that goosebumps run on the skin, it was very scary, but where to go. I wanted to see it firsthand.
