Have a nice day! I continue to show photos from the arboretum in Sochi...
More than 200 species of subtropical plants were planted in this park, and after the events of 1917, their number increased to fifty. Khudekov brought many plants from the Crimea, from the Caucasus, and even went to Germany for some seedlings, to the Prince of Oldenburg himself.
Walking in the park is a pleasure. Every corner, alley, path introduces you to amazing plants. You will enjoy looking at plants that have never been seen before, and contemplate the magnificent creations of the masters of landscape design.
And on the way to the villa you are met by tall cypress trees, they are so huge that I had to go down 15 meters to photograph them.
I really liked this sculpture, it is called "Hippomenes". Many famous writers, actors, and singers also visited Khudekov's villa. And Anton Chekhov and Fyodor Chaliapin walked along these alleys, climbed the stairs, looked at all this splendor, and maybe sat near a huge redwood tree, which still pleases many visitors to this park.
But this sculpture is called "Atlanta". Imagine, the entire weight of this statue is held only on one toe.
There is a real bird's discord around, and if you are lucky, you can see bright woodpeckers, wagtails and even black grouse. I also liked this central fountain, called "Cupids", which looks amazing up close. On a warm sunny day, the fountain is full of visitors, everyone is not averse to sitting near it and enjoying its coolness.
I didn't even want to leave this park at all, you can walk in it for hours, you won't notice how the whole day will pass :)
I have a Sony DX-60 camera, and all photos are taken in auto mode.
I appreciate Your feedback and comments.
I wish you luck and have a nice day!
Best wishes!
