It's not very easy for me to stay positive nowadays even though I sometimes feel terrible seeing my situation. Nobody in life doesn't deserve such a horrible situation in life but we are forced to accept the consequences of the war. I don't have any words for the victims, I don't have any words to explain the condition of displacement. People are suffering, innocent people are suffering. Every day I hear stories, a lot of heartbreaking stories and I feel bad.
I have lost my home, and my career but still I am hopeful that I will figure something out for myself. But there are many people who still don't know where to begin. Even I feel confused sometimes thinking about what to do next. Trust me, the condition of the Ukrainian refugees is much worse than you have imagined.
They have probably got a safe place to stay but the living condition is terrible. Some of them sometimes say that was it a good decision to leave the homeland!!! I don't have any answers, I don't know what to say. Many people are going back to Ukraine knowing that it is not safe. But they want to be with the family, with their husband or mother and father. They have chosen family over their safety and that amazes me...
Probably I would have done the same if I had to leave my family in the war zone. Here in the shelter, we try to inspire and motivate each other. We know each other's pain, and we understand each other's condition.
I have changed a lot, I hardly can recognize myself nowadays...
I was telling someone about your story the other day. It's so devastating and I can't believe it's happening in Europe. You could never have expected this at all. Much love..
In truth, in a migration forced by wars, catastrophes and similar events, both those who leave and those who stay suffer.
Those who leave to seek an opportunity to live leave behind people they love, memories, nostalgia, their professional career and their entire world of friendships and affections.
Those who stay have to fight every day to survive, always being at risk of being killed or terrible things happen to them, missing those who left, but wishing that they are better than he is and that they don't come back in these bad current conditions.
It really is hard.
No one should find themselves out in such situations… I am sure that you will recover and that your life will be balanced but this shock will always be inside you. I hope for safety and that you ll start building your life soon again. You are a very brave person.
