My Wednesday with Hazelnut Macchiato and loneliness...

I thought things would be easier for me after everything I have gone through but unfortunately, it is not. Every day seems harder and I feel like I am losing myself every day into darkness. But yes, I am not the kind of person who decides to give up. Afterall all the circumstances of my life left valuable lessons for me. So, I am not going to give up on myself so easily.

Today was an emotional day but I am doing good. I am trying to be strong, pretending as if nothing happened in life though I have been holding many things inside me. As usual, I woke up early, went to work, and finally was able to meet my new co-worker. She is from Ukraine and the best part is she is from Kharkiv too. So, initially, we were able to create a bonding and connection as we both are from the same city in Ukraine. After a certain discussion, I came to know that she used to live close to my neighborhood area. What a coincidence, we used to live in the same city but we have never seen each other and we are meeting with each other now due to this war situation.

Anyway, I really hope something better in life will happen soon and we all will be able to survive and live our life.

Last Wednesday after a long shift, I wanted to do something nice for myself. I was feeling stuck in the room after coming back from work so I decided to go to the city center of Almere for a nice walk. I have said before that the city center of Almere is very different than Amsterdam and other cities and not as crowded as big city centers. So the people like me who don't like to be in crowded areas love Almere city center. Besides, the location of the city center is very close (walking distance) to where I am currently staying.

It was a weekday so the center was not busy at all. Moreover, the food court was empty so I decided to sit there for some time. Here in Almere, some restaurants open at 5.00 pm (17.00) just for dinner. Interesting fact and also in the morning or during lunch hour, not many people come to these restaurants. I don't know if it is related to culture or not. I am still not familiar with Dutch culture...

I was sitting there for some time, the entire area was empty so I was kind of enjoying the calmness and loneliness of the space.

It was a very hot day, felt like summer didn't say goodbye though we are currently in the autumn season. After a while, I started feeling dehydrated so I went to Starbucks. This was the first time I was going to take a Starbucks drink because I am habituated to local coffee. Besides, I am a caffeine freak so instead of buying expensive coffee from the local store, I have decided to taste Starbucks coffee for the first time.

I ordered cold hazelnut macchiato (small size) without extra cream and I must admit it was good. I know Starbucks is expensive, many people don't even like Starbucks but I have never tried Starbucks before so I wanted to taste their coffee. The price was 3 Euro and it was not bad at all. The little bit of sweetness with bitter taste I was enjoying, to be honest. In Kharkiv, we don't have Starbucks so I never got the opportunity to try the coffee of Starbucks in my entire life.

If you have any kind of suggestions, you can give me. I will try the drink next time...

Later in the evening, I took my dog out for a walk. We went to the nearest park for the walk and she really enjoyed her walk... Look at her lying on the grass...

Gigi's innocent face always gives me satisfaction and my soul feels happy. She is the one who makes me happy always. Her unconditional love helps me to forget miserable living conditions for a while.

That is all about my last Wednesday, a day in my life...
