2 weeks ago on 10th July, my baby labrador turned into one year old. Seeing her growth in front of me and staying with her journey so far is an amazing feeling. I have seen how my small 1-month-old puppy turned into a 1-year-old teenager. Yes, she is a teenager, and when I was checking the comparison between the dog and human age/year, I felt overwhelmed and shocked too. But honestly, it was interesting to know the comparison between a human and a dog, and also I was counting my dog's age too.
I wanted to do something special for Gigi's Birthday. But unfortunately, I couldn't organize a small home party for her... But the day didn't go to waste. I took her on a long walk, gave her special treats, and many more.
First I took the groomer's appointment a day before 10th July for Gigi. I want to give her a nice, pampering and quality time. There is no groomer in the area where I live, so I have to take her to another location. The grooming center's name is Doggy Couture, very friendly, welcoming people and I took Gigi there before.
Unfortunately, no car/taxi ever gives a ride to Gigi, they don't wanna take large dogs in their car though I pay extra always for the pet. I use an application where I select the option of pet but when taxi drivers see Gigi, they refuse to give us a ride. So, the only option left for us is walking. I feel bad honestly to see such kind of behavior here...
They accept the call and then reject when they see a labrador...
Some people are welcoming here, they accept Gigi easily but some people are not ready to accept Gigi's behavior. Gigi is a super active dog and she requires 2 hours long walk nowadays. Otherwise, she stays active. Another fact is her way of greeting strangers. She is sometimes so friendly and still, she greets strangers which is not good at all.
I try to control her a lot, sometimes it works, sometimes doesn't. She is very impatient sometimes. She lives in her own world and in the end, creates a bad situation for me. Even a few days ago, a lady insulted me a lot because of Gigi's behavior...
So, on 10th July, after 1 hour of a long walk, we reached the grooming center. My partner helped me a lot and most of the time he managed Gigi's walk. Sometimes' Gigi walks so fast, I struggle a lot walking with her on that point.
Groomers were already familiar with Gigi so they welcomed her and told me to come back after one hour. I told them to give her a nice bath, clean her teeth, cut her nails and brush her fur properly.
The total cost was 900 UAH and that was expected. I wonder how Gigi treated them because sometimes Gigi becomes so naughty. Fortunately, she was tired that day so everything went well.
This picture was taken after her grooming, she looked so happy, fresh and clean too...
I bought few toys for her birthday and gave her after arriving home. This was one of them which she loves most and always plays with it.
Labradors easily get bored and required so many activities, physical activities, and toys. My home is now full of toys. Another fact is, Gigi sometimes hides her toys and only she knows where she kept them...
She is a very adorable dog but still, she has got her puppy mentality. She sometimes becomes hyper because of happiness and starts jumping all around like Kangaroo...
And of course, she never stops wagging her tail...
Until next time... Have a nice day everyone...
Thanks for reading my blog...
Happy Birthday!
