Earlier today, I had to walk my dog and also take some photos along the way. One of the styles in photography that I really wanted to try is macro photography.
Although I don't have a camera that's specifically built for macro photography I still attempt to achieve something close. The camera that I have right now is the one that has a full-frame sensor and a 24MP resolution. It might not be the best as of this moment but I already find it satisfactory.
Anyway, while on my walk I found this fly resting on a flower bud, and since it's the only insect during this moment, I went on to take the photo. My camera is built with an Autofocus feature which made it easier for me to capture the fly with clarity.
Because of the limitation of my camera, this is as far as I can go. I tried to crop the images even further but the quality of images is starting to look odd. This is the point when I had to stop zooming on the images and end up with acceptable image quality.
I also feel that the lighting is too harsh at this point but then I realize that I can not direct my subject into going somewhere under the shade. Even though I could set up an object over that give her a shade I feel that I had a limited time until it flies away.
At this point, I'm still learning to do macro photography on subjects that I can't fully control. I never thought that macro photography would require this much expertise in shooting something like it. Needless to say that I'm under pressure that I might lose the chance to take this shot. It's a good thing that this fly has in these 2 good shots before it left and flew way.
I really enjoyed this experience and would definitely do something like this again.
Love macro photography! Those are fantastic shots!
