Broody much?

It's that time of the year again. . .little chicks hatching every day, then growing their feathers from fluff, learning to swim . . .

I like this season. But as for me; definitely not broody. Watching the chicks are plenty 😅 no need for my own. . .

The ones on the picture are Indian Runner Ducks. They are very popular here in the UK, as apparently they eat slugs, which there are many here, so those who have vegetables growing in their garden, tend to try everything to keep them away.

Much Love, Petra 💜

I don't understand. If the ducks eat slugs, why do farmers try to keep them away?
