Wrapping up on Sunday, today is Palm Sunday on the Catholic calendar. I have had a beautiful calm day, at home, without much to report, here the daily failures are things that one gets used to, so if you start to find it normal that the electricity fails every day, and they can leave you without service for hours without being given an explanation or without anyone taking responsibility or considering a way to resolve the situation, well, then one stops paying attention and that becomes a form of "normality" in which one focuses only on stay afloat.
I am 758 days since that Friday when the #Quarantine was declared in #Venezuela due to the #Covid19 #Pandemic, today I heard on the news that the confinement in China has become very severe, it seems that they discovered a new strain of the disease and things don't look good, it really worries me, but there's not much I can do but worry. Anyway, I have to wait and see how things evolve.
Despite being a religious day for many people, I did not leave the house today and I did not attend any mass or congregation, from what I heard from a friend, in some nearby towns it is the first time in two years that the mass of blessed palms, I guess he would be happy, because I remember that he is a slightly more religious man. I hope they took care of themselves at that mass and that no one catches the disease, that is my best wish. Anyway, let's hope things get better, I wish you well and that we can read each other again another time.

Terminando el domingo, hoy es Domingo de Ramos en el calendario católico. He tenido un hermoso día calmado, en casa, sin mucho que reportar, acá las fallas cotidianas son cosas a las que uno se acostumbra, así que si empiezas a encontrar normal que la electricidad falle todos los días y te puedan dejar sin servicio durante horas sin que te den explicación o sin que nadie se haga responsable o se plantee una forma de resolver la situación, pues, entonces uno deja de prestar a tención y eso se convierte en una forma de "normalidad" en la que uno se enfoca en solamente seguir a flote.
Estoy a 758 días desde aquel viernes en que se declaró la #Cuarentena en #Venezuela por la #Pandemia de #Covid19, hoy escuché en las noticias que el confinamiento en China se ha vuelto muy severo, parece que descubrieron una nueva cepa de la enfermedad y las cosas no se ven bien, de verdad que me preocupa, pero no puedo hacer mucho más que preocuparme. En fin, me toca esperar y ver como evolucionan las cosas.
A pesar de ser un día religioso para mucha gente, no salí de casa hoy y no asistí a ninguna misa o congregación, por lo que supe de un amigo, en algunas localidades cercanas es la primera vez en dos años que se hace la misa de las palmas benditas, supongo que él estaría contento, pues recuerdo que él si es un hombre un poco más religioso. Espero que se cuidaran en esa misa y que no se contagie nadie de la enfermedad, ese es mi mejor deseo. En fin, esperemos que las cosas mejores, te deseo que tú estés bien y que nos podamos leer de nuevo en otra oportunidad.
